If you own an iPod then chances are you probably own some iPod accessories to go with it. Even if you try to slim down to nothing with your device like I do then chances still are that you’re going to have to get some of these accessories at some point. The charger definitely counts as one of these accessories and to be perfectly honest, since I don’t work for Steve Jobs, the developer of apple, I think it’s okay to say what I’m about to say. The truth is, iPod screens are really cheap quality and thus people have been more and more inclined as of late to go on to find some iPod accessories such as cases, screen stamps, or clear plastic screen covers in order to keep their screens from scratching or being damaged.

You probably don’t think you need one, but then again if you are probably reading this article then you are probably of a younger age and thus are struck with the tragic invincible syndrome. It’s only a matter of time before you find that putting too much faith in your electronic products is a bad idea because they will break on you one day. It’s just business, the cheaper they get, the lower the quality drops, and even the most expensive of the products are not the best quality because if they really want to stay in business as a company they need to make something that will break one day. Otherwise someone would buy one and be done. They need repeat customers.

Imagine a gum company that sold pieces of gum whose flavor lasted eternally. If the flavor never went away then you would never need to buy another pack. So yes they would make money on the product and it would sell out instantly but they would never be able to get people to come back. Companies such as apple are very interested in your money and they will do anything they can to get it. A good example of this is not only in the cheapness of the iPod but in the abundance of apple official iPod accessories that are offered on the market.

You can have all kinds of accessories, an external light to supplement the backlight, a car radio plug in, a cute case with pink leopard print, an iPod sock which looks like a miniature scarf for your iPod, the list goes on and on forever. You do not need all of these even though apple will make you think that you do, because they’re good at business like that. They’re crafty. But you may need some iPod accessories and there is no shame in that whatsoever.

Even I have a case for my iPod because I couldn’t imagine just letting the screen scratch resulting in permanent damage. I don’t have the cash to shell out on another one if this one breaks. What you really need to do is go online and browse lists and see what you’re interested in. Third parties and apple themselves have added so many iPod accessories to their repertoire that you’ll probably b pleasantly surprised by what you see. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.
